Check Out California’s Best Restaurant Month Deals

1. Tahoe South
Altitude does great things for Tahoe South, like keeping the Sierra peaks snowy in the winter and its gem, Lake Tahoe, crystal blue. And any Tahoe enthusiast will tell you the food tastes better up here, made with 6,230 feet of California altitude — and attitude. Dine at any of the cozy restaurants offering specially priced and prix-fixe menus, and you’ll find that thinner air brings out the best in the chefs’ alpine-inspired signature dishes. El Dorado County provides fresh produce and wines for many of them, while some complement their menus with remarkable lake views and others let the sparkling night skies and winter weather serve as the backdrop. Tahoe South’s Restaurant Week runs Friday, January 8, to Saturday, January 16, 2016.
