Balliceaux
We stopped by late on a Friday and hit up a dance party in the back room. The music, vibe, drinks, and late-night food here are all great (unlike our dance moves).
Bellytimber Tavern
Check out Bellytimber on a Tuesday for their trivia nights. We loved the tap selection and the nachos, which came with generous amounts of queso.
Can Can Brasserie
A Richmond hotspot, this French-inspired bistro lives up to the hype. We ate several meals here and loved the relaxed atmosphere.
Triple Crossing Brewing Company
This is a great brewery and tap room right in downtown Richmond, with plans to expand in the works. We loved hanging out with these dudes and really enjoyed the Waxing Poetic, their Berliner-weisse.
de fles winkel
The Wink, as the cool kids call it, is a bottle and growler shop with a great selection of over 500 beers. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, and they often host events in conjunction with breweries.
GWARbar
Going to this bar is definitely not like seeing Gwar live. We were surprised we weren't covered in goop when we left, but we still had a great time.
