Why use your average tortilla chips to make chilaquiles when you can use naked chicken chips? Yep, it’s a thing now, and you can thank Taco Bell for the tastebud explosion.

Taco Bell released the new Naked Chicken Chips nationwide on May 11, a new dish of marinated white meat chicken with a blend of Mexican spices served with a side of dipping nacho cheese sauce, much to the delight of fried chicken fiends everywhere. Consider it your upgrade to your everyday nachos — and your substitute for plain ol’ tortilla chips.

Take this recipe for “chick-a-quiles.” Leave the boring tortilla chips at the store: Instead, pick up a few orders of Naked Chicken Chips at Taco Bell, fry up some eggs, and whip up the dish sure to wow your brunch-loving crowd. Like we said, these are no ordinary Naked Chicken Chips — and this is no ordinary chilaquiles recipe. Learn how to make it below.

Chick-a-quiles Recipe

  1. To prep your ingredients, dice the red onion, slice the watermelon radish, and pick and roughly chop cilantro.
  2. Fry an egg in pan with oil until the egg whites are set and the yolk is still runny — however you like your eggs best.
  3. To assemble, arrange the Naked Chicken Chips on a large plate. Drizzle nacho cheese over the chips, and top with pico de gallo, red onion, and watermelon radish. Place the fried egg on top and garnish with cilantro.
